How do we build a pergola...? - Step by step instruction

ATTENTION: Metal Post Holder (Spike) should be purchased for the pergola if it is to be installed in the ground or Metal Post Holder for Concrete if the pergola is to be erected on a hard surface.
Building the pergola step by step:
Please, determine the anchoring points with a mason's string by measuring both the length of the garage side between the posts and the diagonal between the posts. The following drawing illustrates this method of determining points. Here the distance from the anchor edge is calculated. (While we are determining the points, we also check that the distances for the walls have been measured correctly by placing the grids).
Once you have determined the anchoring points, we fix the post anchors into the ground. Below we have illustrated the anchoring method using the example of metal spikes. A wooden building block is attached to the top (it is best if the size of the building block matches the diagonal of the post that will later be attached to the top). It is needed to avoid damaging the top during hammering.
The tips should be hammered in so that the holes for the screws are on the same side. It is necessary to check with a spirit level every few times that the spike is driven in vertically. The spike should protrude 15 cm from the ground. Thanks to this, the post will be above the surface, which will protect it from rotting.
Then attach the grids with the posts to the anchors.
Connect the arches with riders at the points where the riders are cut. Then attach the riders using screws, as shown in the drawing.
When the roof is finished, attach it to the posts, which also have intersections, and fasten it with screws.
