Installation instructions for fence panels on a hardened base

To install N fence panels, you need:

  • N fence panels
  • N+1 fence posts
  • N+1 metal post holders (the same as the posts)
  • Nx4 screw connectors
  • (N+1)x2 screws fi 10 x 50 mm
  • (Nx4)x2 screws fi 3.5 x 35 mm
(Warning! - screws are not included in the kit)

Installation elements:

Spirit level, string, screwdriver with bit-2 and bit-3 or Phillips screwdriver, drill, large heavy hammer or axe, a piece of wood fi 7cm to secure the top collar when driving.

Posts:

  • For trellises and pergolas we recommend a 7x7 cross section
  • For fences we recommend a 9x9 cross section,
  • The posts should always be at least 10-30cm longer than the fence panel so that they can be properly placed above the ground.

Screw connector:

For easy and permanent connection of panels to posts.

INSTALLATION:

Step 1. Mark the metal stand on the floor and mark the place where 1 post is to be mounted. Use a pencil, for example, to mark the places where the screws and plugs are to be placed. Set the stand aside and drill holes in the marked positions using a drill.

Step 2 Insert the plastic wall plugs into the drilled holes, attach the stand and screw the screws into the holes using a screwdriver.

Step 3. Draw a line with a thick line along which you will install the next posts.

Step 4. Insert the post into the base and screw it in place with screws from opposite sides while checking the vertical position. To fix the posts to the base, 2 screws with a diameter of 10 x 50 mm are sufficient. The screws should be screwed in 1 on each side before drilling 6 holes. We choose the holes into which the screws are screwed according to the position of the post, placing it vertically.

Step 5. Screw in the fastening elements and drill five holes in the centre of the post beforehand, distributing them evenly from the bottom and top.

Step 6. Screw the span a few centimetres above the floor to isolate it from the surface where the wood can absorb moisture. Screw the span to the plug with two screws (3.5 x 35 mm).

Step 7. Proceed in the same way and install the remaining fence panels.
